Each participant must guarantee that photographed animals were not disturbed (e.g. birds during nesting) or rare plants and habitats were not destroyed. These ethics will be of significance to the jury.

A maximum of 4 (four) pictures can be sent for each category.

Pictures should be uploaded in JPG format on our Entry form.

Eligible photo size: 2000 pixel, resolution 300 dpi and max. 3MB. The winners will be later asked to send their photos for the exhibition in original size.

Authors must keep the original files, as produced by the camera, in RAW, TIFF, JPG, or DNG format, or as negatives or slide films. The author will be asked to send the original files if necessary. If the author didn’t keep the RAW or DNG format, or as negatives or slide films. The author will be asked to send the original files if necessary. If the author didn’t keep the RAW or DNG files, they will have to present the shots that followed and preceded the image in question. If the author fails to provide the jury with any of the previously mentioned files, the submitted photo might be disqualified.

Certain corrections of photographs are allowed, such as levels, curves, colour balance, hue/saturation, brightness and contrast. The correction of certain technical errors is also possible, such as the removal of distortions or dust on the lens, etc. However, the photos should remain as realistic and natural as possible, with limited digital alterations.

Corrections/modifications affecting only one part of the picture are allowed, only if the correction is made for correcting small exposure problems. These correction/modifications are not allowed if it will change the composition or the message of the original picture.
